Model: GW - Billing AR Balancing (Early Access)

The GW - Billing AR Balancing model includes monthly snapshots of various accounts receivable amounts for policies, such as advance premium new, written premium reclass, and adjustments or write-offs. The snapshots are aggregates over a period of one month, of transaction amounts from the charge context. Analysts can use the model to visualize trends and totals of accounts receivable activities. They can analyze amounts by policy, charge pattern subtype, product, underwriting company, and other attributes.

Monthly aggregates and balances

The model includes monthly aggregates for advanced and written premium amounts, including:
  • Cash Credit
  • New Reclass
  • Reclass Cash Credit
  • Reclass Write-off
  • Write-off
Those aggregates are then used in formulas that calculate monthly beginning and ending balances.
Note: Formulas are created on the model in Explore. They aren’t part of the source tables in Explore or Data Studio. Each formula performs a calculation and the result is an additional column in the model. For a list of all formula columns and their expressions, see the Data dictionaries for Explore models.
