Share Explore answers and liveboards

There are multiple ways to share visualized data in Explore with other people. You can share answers and liveboards that you or other people created.

Save an answer or pin it to a liveboard

After you create a visualization by searching data, there are options for saving it.
Create a standalone answer
If you select More > Save, the visualization becomes a standalone answer.
Pin it to a liveboard
If you select Pin, you add the answer to a new or existing liveboard. A liveboard is a live dashboard that displays multiple answers.
You can do one or both options. For example, you can pin the answer to a liveboard without saving it as a standalone answer. Users can still find the pinned answer when they search.

Share with view or edit permissions

To share an answer or liveboard with specific users or groups within your organization, open the answer or liveboard and select Share . You can give them permission to View or Edit and add a notification message.

Collections make it easier to manage permissions and share many objects at once. When you share a collection, you select the access level (view or edit) for all of the objects within it. However, users can also get permissions at the individual object level. In that case, the most permissive permission (edit) overrides the others. To learn more about collections, see Organize with collections in Explore.
