Manage custom calendars

Custom calendars are useful for data that doesn't line up with a typical calendar, such as a fiscal year that starts in August.

Procedure

A user with the Custom Calendar Management role creates a calendar:
  1. In the top navigation bar, use the workspace selector application switcher button to go to the Data workspace, then select Utilities > Custom calendar.

Then, a user with the Data Model Management role applies the calendar to a specific column:
  1. In the top navigation bar, use the workspace selector application switcher button to go to the Data workspace, then select the name of a model.
  2. Find the Column name where you want to use the custom calendar. Its data type must be DATE or DATE_TIME.
  3. Scroll right to find the Calendar type setting, then select the custom calendar from the drop-down list.
  4. Select Save changes.

Results

When users search or view data from that column, it uses the custom calendar.
