Visualize data

When you search your data, the results are automatically visualized as a chart or table. Then you save this visualization as an Answer in order to share it with others in your organization. You can also pin the Answer to a Liveboard, which is an interactive, live dashboard that displays multiple Answers.

Use any of the following methods to start visualizing data:
Search data
Select Search data in Insights workspace to query your data with the help of search suggestions. Explore automatically creates the type of chart or table that makes the most sense for the data. Then you can save this visualization as an Answer and pin it to a Liveboard. See Search data to create an Answer.
The following 26-second animation shows an example of the search suggestions. It helps you select search terms to sum the number of open claims for each month over the past 12 months.
Spotter conversational search
If your organization enabled Spotter, you can ask a business question using natural language and get an AI-generated Answer. Then, manually edit the Answer yourself if needed. See Ask Spotter for an AI-generated Answer.
Make a copy of an existing Answer
Select More > Make a copy on any Answer, then edit it.
Explore an existing Answer before making a copy
Select the Explore button on any Answer in a Liveboard. You can edit the parameters and change what you see without saving your changes. Then if you want to save it as an Answer, either Make a copy or Pin it to a Liveboard.
