Mobile property incidents

A mobile property incident is an incident that tracks information about lost or damaged items that are moveable, such as:

  • Lost baggage covered by a travel policy
  • Stolen jewelry covered by a home owner's policy
  • A damaged vehicle covered by a personal auto policy

In ClaimCenter, there is a MobilePropertyIncident entity. But incidents are typically not created at this level. They are created at one of the child levels: BaggageIncident, PropertyContentsIncident, or VehicleIncident.

Some mobile property incidents make use of assessment content items. An assessment content item is an individual item covered by the policy, such as a laptop in lost baggage or jewelry stored in a house safe.
