Advanced Product Designer helps users create risk object types in a product to model product structure and support location-based risk data.
About this task
Risk objects can be attached to other risk objects, including the product line, which is a
special type of risk object.
These instructions add a risk object to an APD App
product.
Procedure
-
In Advanced Product Designer, navigate to a product.
-
In the navigation pane, select the product line
.
-
Navigate to the risk object onto which you wish to add the new risk object.
Because the policy line is a risk object, you can add risk objects directly onto
it.
-
If you are creating a location risk object, you must first add a location attribute. In
the panel, add an attribute with Type set to
Location.
-
Choose Add Risk Object from the product line's or risk object's
vertical ellipsis menu.
You can define new categories, coverages, terms, conditions, exclusions and exclusion
and condition categories.
Note: You cannot reuse attributes defined for other risk objects
because this is a different risk object type.
-
If you are creating a location risk object, set
Location/Jurisdiction to Risk includes a location
reference on the Element Details panel.
