Exposures in mind map in Advanced Product Designer

Exposures represent a potential for accident or loss due to a risk, such as lawsuits or hazardous materials. In Advanced Product Designer, exposures attach to product lines and risk objects in the mind map, and support any data type.

An exposure represents a potential for accident or loss due to a risk, such as lawsuits or hazardous materials.

In the mind map, you can attach exposures Exposure marker to the product line Product Line marker and risk objects Risk Object marker. You can attach any of the data types to an Exposure Exposure marker.

The following illustration shows exposures on the product line in General Liability. There are two exposures on the product line: Location Exposure and Lead Exposure. Location Exposure has fields for Class Code, Class Description, Location, and Risk Amount. Class Code and Class Description will be lookup tables, and are not implemented in the mind map. Lead Exposure has two True/False questions and a drop-down list that collect information about lead exposure.
