Make changes to a mono-line product in Advanced Product Designer

Advanced Product Designer lets users update a mono-line product and save product model changes that automatically refresh referencing multi-line products. Advanced Product Designer keeps shared product structures aligned.

About this task

Any number of multi-line products can use a mono-line product. If you make product model changes to a mono-line product after its product line has been attached to a multi-line product, these changes are propagated to the multi-line product. Changes to rules and editions are not propagated. When you save your changes, multi-line products that reference the product line are updated. You must refresh the browser to see the changes.

Procedure

  1. In the mono-line product, make any necessary changes. For example, add a risk object.
  2. Click Save.
A message appears indicating that multi-line products that reference the product line are updated.

Display a list of multi-line products that reference a product line

Display multi-line products that reference a product line to identify dependencies before updating or reviewing mono-line product setup.

Procedure

  1. In the mono-line product, in the navigation pane, select the product line.
  2. Choose About MyProductLine, where MyProductLine is the name of the product line, from the product line's vertical ellipsis menu.
A list of multi-line products that reference the product line is displayed.
