In Advanced Product Designer, segment fields must be created at the line level using a selector and a topic label that includes the segment code. Understanding this structure helps you correctly define segments in the mind map.

Segment fields must be created at the line level. You must create the selector first. Provide the code for the segment in the topic label in the form <Segment_code>-<Field_short_name>, for example BrandSegment-BrandField. The hyphen and the short name are optional.
