Boolean modifiers

Boolean modifiers are commonly used in personal auto insurance policies:
  • You model Boolean modifiers on a vehicle risk object so that an underwriter can indicate whether or not to apply a passive restraint discount or an anti-lock brakes discount.
  • You model a Youthful Operator modifier on a vehicle risk object so that an underwriter can indicate whether or not to apply a surcharge on a driver between the ages of 16 and 18.

Another common use of a Boolean modifier is a multi-policy discount. A multi-policy discount modifier is attached to a product line.
