Configuring resource access for base configuration endpoints

For the base configuration endpoints, Guidewire has designed the resource access framework to be appropriate, as much as possible, for every situation that an insurer may encounter.

For resource types that store third-party data, you can use additional accessible fields filters to limit access to the third-party data based on the caller's business relationship with the resource. This functionality is fully configurable for base configuration resource types and custom resource types.

Otherwise, if you believe that resource access for the base configuration endpoints does not meet your needs and you wish to configure it, Guidewire recommends that you consult your Guidewire account manager before attempting to modify any extension access files.

This includes any of the following actions:

• Creating a custom system permission and referencing that permission in an access file
• Create a new Gosu permission method and referencing that method in an access file
• Create a new Gosu filter method and referencing that method in an access file
