InsuranceSuite documentation improvements

Restructured administration content

To make it easier for you to find and search for application administration information, the individual Administration Guides previously available for PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter have been replaced by the following documents, each focused on a particular area of application administration:

  • Security Administration

  • Server Administration

  • Database Administration

  • Business Rules Administration

  • System and Internal Tools

Furthermore, product-specific content for ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter has been integrated directly into the relevant administrative guide. For example, the Business Rules Administration Guide now contains content for both PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter in one document.

You can find all of these updated documents on the Administer tab for each of the InsuranceSuite applications.

Consolidated Cloud Consumer API content

InsuranceSuite Cloud API consumer information is now consolidated into a single InsuranceSuite Cloud API Consumer Guide that applies to all InsuranceSuite applications. You can now find application-specific Cloud API content in its respective section in the guide. For example, you can find ClaimCenter Cloud API information within the ClaimCenter section. There are sections for BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and ContactManager.

With this content restructure, the ContactManager Consumer Guide is deprecated. The content found in the former ContactManager Cloud API Consumer Guide is now found in the ContactManager section of the Cloud API Consumer Guide.

Improved findability for additional InsuranceSuite content

As part of an ongoing effort to improve our information architecture, the following InsuranceSuite documents have been updated to include information for all supported versions of InsuranceSuite:

  • Data Archiving Guide
  • Developer Setup Guide
  • Globalization Guide
  • Gosu Rules Guide
  • Integration Data Manager Guide
  • Overview of Cloud Integration
  • Product Model Guide
  • Update Guide

New documentation for Build Management API

New user documentation is available to support the Build Management API. This API allows you to get parameters and branches to run and cancel builds so that users don't need to switch to TeamCity to take those actions.

Data and Analytics documentation updates

New Embedded Analytics guide

The Embedded Analytics guide consolidates setup and configuration information for the Embedded Analytics feature that was spread out across the PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter documentation into a single, comprehensive guide. This new document also provides an overview of the Embedded Analytics data flow and user interface elements, as well as analytics solution trigger options.

Guidance for mapping model response fields to Embedded Analytics display fields

The Analytics Manager guide now includes topics that help you plan Analytics Manager solutions that use a Guidewire Predict models or external models that communicate with Analytics Manager through third-party APIs. These topics describe how to design your model output fields to map correctly to the corresponding elements of the Analytics Manager response display. This response display defines the Embedded Analytics screen that PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or InsuranceNow displays.
