Explore
Solution content updates
New versions of Explore Financial Insights for Billing, Policy, and Claims are available, along with their source Insurance Data Models. For details, see the Data Platform Release Notes.
Change to Spotter availability
Spotter has been disabled for broad customer availability but is available to customers upon request. Reach out to Guidewire for more information if you have interest in evaluating Spotter.
Enhanced chart settings
The settings panel for charts now has a more intuitive layout that makes it easier to find specific settings. New advanced settings also give you more control over your charts. For example, you can change data label sizes, colors, fonts, grid lines, and tooltips.
Custom charts with the Muze charting library
Developers can now create custom charts in Explore using the Muze charting library. They can code directly in the chart editor, access documentation, and resolve issues with real-time validation. Muze charts only apply to the answer where they're created. To reuse a custom chart, other users can make a copy of the answer and modify it.
Style liveboards and group tiles
- Group multiple related visualizations into one tile, and give it a group name and description.
- Choose background colors for the liveboard or for individual tiles. Colors help you brand your liveboards or draw attention to certain visualizations.
- Show or hide tile descriptions.
Default date bucket for model columns
You can use the new model column property, Default date bucket, to set the date interval, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Then, whenever someone uses that column in a chart, it uses the default date bucket. For example, if monthly is the most commonly used date interval for a column, you can set it as the default date bucket so that users don't have to specify monthly in every search.
Analytics Manager
Cyence Rapid Assessment predefined solution
Analytic Manager now supports Cyence Rapid Assessment. Cyence Rapid Assessment enables you to evaluate cyber risk for any size business, anywhere in the world in generally under two minutes. Get fast, deep cyber-risk insights, including an overall Risk Rating, Probability of Incident, peer group comparisons, and Exposure Signals.
Analytics Manager provides a predefined solution for Cyence Rapid Assessment, as well as a Cyence Rapid Assessment response mapping template. This response template defines the Embedded Analytics screen that Analytics Manager displays for Cyence assessments in PolicyCenter and InsuranceNow.
For more information, see Cyence Rapid Assessment and Create a Cyence Rapid Assessment solution in Analytics Manager.
New assessment status filter
or more efficient troubleshooting, Analytics Manager now enables you to filter assessments by status, including Success, Error, Warning, and Processing. For details, see View statistics and assessment summaries.
Customize the Canvas button target for Weather Discrepancy Alerts
To accommodate different Canvas URLs by region, Weather Discrepancy Alert (WDA) solutions now enable you to specify the target URL for the View More in Canvas button. The embedded analytics display in ClaimCenter includes this button. When users select View More in Canvas, they can view a live Canvas screen that shows weather data for the affected claim. You can now configure this button to display the appropriate region in Canvas by setting the desired target base URL.
Assessments filters
To help you with testing and debugging solutions, Analytics Manager now provides an expanded creation date filter that includes time. You can also now filter assessments by the following new fields:
- Assessment ID
- Assessed entity
- Assessed entity parent
These filters help you find the desired assessment immediately and increase the efficiency of your solution validation efforts.
To target your troubleshooting more effectively, the creation date filters restrict the From Date, To Date, From Time, and To Time values that you specify to a three-month window. If you omit these creation date filters, Analytics Manager automatically lists all assessments from the most recent three-month period.
Also, Analytics Manager now displays increased precision for assessment creation date and time, specifically to the seconds level.
Satellite tornado coverage
Analytics Manager has enhanced the Weather Discrepancy Alert solution templates and assessment display to help you start evaluating tornado events more quickly. The Weather Discrepancy Alert API has been expanded to include satellite tornado data. This data includes the Enhanced Fujita (EF) scale value and the distance.
Satellite tornado data serves as a useful accompaniment to the verified tornado data because human-verified tornado data takes longer (up to a week) to gather. In contrast, satellite tornado data is available immediately, but it is not verified.
You can view this new satellite tornado data in applicable embedded analytics displays in ClaimCenter.
If you have an existing Weather Discrepancy Alert solution, you can edit the response mapping to add the new Satellite Tornado data, using the Weather Discrepancy Alert API. Alternatively, you can reset your Analytics Manager response template. For more information, see Weather Discrepancy Alerts.
Predict
Version requirement for the Python container in Bring Your Own Model
To avoid compatibility issues, ensure that the Python container for Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) uses the same package versions that are used by the product. A version mismatch between the development and operating environments will likely break the model when you use a pickle or joblib format for serialization. For details about supported package versions, see Packages available for the BYOM Python container.
Predict Upgrade has been renamed to Predict 8.x
Predict Upgrade has a new name: Predict 8.x. Going forward, new versions will increment the version number and will no longer use the upgrade label.
