Look up a user

To look up a user, begin at the User Management page and conduct a search by user code, first name, or last name.

Procedure

  1. Select Admin > User Management.
    The User Management page opens.
  2. In the User Lookup panel, search for an existing user by filling in one of the two sections.
    OptionDescription
    User Code section
    • Enter the user name of the user you want to find. If you use this field, your search string must exactly match a user name.
    • Select the Search button. If the user name you entered exactly matches an existing user name, the User Maintenance window opens showing the details of that user.
Search By, Text, Max Hits section
    • Select User Code, Last Name, or First Name from this list to specify how you want to search for a user.
    • Select Starts With or Equals to specify how to search for the user. Then enter the search string in the adjacent field. Leave the search string blank to search for all users.
    • Select the maximum number of users to return in the search results. The less specific your search, the more results you are likely to need to find a particular user.
    • Select the adjacent Search button. The System User List panel lists the search results.
  3. Optional: In the System User List panel, select or clear the check boxes adjacent to Filter users by Password Policy.

These filters enable you to quickly locate users who do or do not meet your organization's security requirements.

Include or exclude users who are assigned Exempt Users password policy.
    Standard User
Include or exclude users who are assigned Standard Users password policy.

  6. Edit the user profile in each of the panels as needed.
Note: When you save changed to a user who is assigned to the Exempt Users password policy, InsuranceNow displays a warning message to remind you that this password policy is not recommended.
