Configure a user's password policy
This task describes the steps to set the password policy for users.

- Select Admin>User Management.

Look up the User Code to apply the password policy to.
The User Maintenance screen will display.

Scroll to the middle of the screen and you will see the following options for user
passwords:
- Password and Confirm Password
- This option can be used to establish a temporary or permanent password for a user who has forgotten theres or who has become locked out.
- Check the box to enforce an additional password change on the users next login.
- Password Policy selection drop down
- Standard Users password policy includes the following
requirements:
- Password must contain 1 or more digit characters.
- Password must not contain username.
- Password must not match one of 3 previous passwords.
- Password must contain 1 or more lowercase characters.
- Password must be no more than 100 characters in length.
- Password must be 8 or more characters in length.
- Password must not contain username in reverse.
- Password must contain 1 or more special characters.
- Only ASCII characters allowed.
- Password must contain 1 or more uppercase characters.
- The Exempt Users password policy includes the following
requirements:
- Password must not contain username.
- Password must not match previous password.
- Password must be no more than 100 characters in length.
- Password must be 1 or more characters in length.
- Password must not contain username in reverse.
- Only ASCII characters allowed.
- Standard Users password policy includes the following
requirements:
- Password and Confirm Password
