Lock APD App products

To edit a product, you must first lock the product for editing.

Locking a product for editing puts a lock on it so that other users cannot make changes to it. While you have the product locked for editing, you can make changes and save them. When you have completed your changes, you unlock the product so that others can edit it. This action saves the product and its editions and then releases your lock so that other users can lock and edit the product. If a product is locked for editing, the status displayed for the product in the list or on its tile indicates that it is locked for editing and the option to lock the product for editing is disabled.

Note: For any APD product, all resources in the current workset must be either locked for editing by a single user or all available.

A problem can arise when a user locks an individual resource for editing using Workset Manager. In this case it is possible that the resources do not all have the same status. If the resources do not all have the same status, APD displays an informational message in the Product detail screens.

To resolve the problem, in Workset Manager, view all resources for the APD product in the appropriate workset. Lock resources so that all resources are either available or locked by a single user.
