What is a Jutro app template?

A Jutro app template is a ready-to-use Jutro app with boilerplate code. This code includes components, example pages, layouts, and styling that are provided in a development repository along with a defined CI/CD pipeline on Guidewire Cloud to jumpstart Web application development.

• Jutro app templates provide Guidewire a way to deliver Web experiences with content and features that customer developers can use out of the box. For example, Guidewire might have an opinion on an Agent experience which we provide as a template.

• Jutro app templates would ship with tests and a test framework to allow customer developers to modify and add their own tests.

• Jutro app templates provide customer developers with coding examples as well, such as using the Jutro SDK to connect to InsuranceSuite.

• Jutro app templates are tied to a specific version of the Jutro Digital Platform release.

Types of templates

There are three types of templates available:

• Starter templates which are empty shell React apps with only the scaffolding such as the header and footer, designed to jump start the creation process of a new app.
• Training templates which offer developers a better insight into how templates work.
• Templates which solve a specific business need. These can be micro frontends or standalone Jutro apps that can be consumed by customers in their own applications or other Guidewire applications (including Digital apps). An example of a content template is the Personal Auto - FNOL template which provides a digital FNOL self-service flow for a first-party personal auto damage claim. Who can use templates?

You can consume templates as starting points to build Jutro apps on your GWCP starsystem that would be specific to that carrier (aka RHS and single-tenant). This starting point will also create the Bitbucket repository, TeamCity pipelines and the necessary guardrails for your Jutro apps.
