Editing and deleting contacts

There are endpoints for PATCHing and DELETEing contacts and contact addresses. However, there may be circumstances where you cannot edit or delete a contact because of its business state. For example, you cannot delete a contact that is referenced by an external application (such as ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter) that is integrated with ContactManager. Editing and deleting contacts

To edit or delete a contact, use the following endpoints:

  • PATCH /contact/v1/contacts/{contactId}
  • DELETE /contact/v1/contacts/{contactId}

Editing and deleting contact addresses

Addresses are always child objects to a contact. You can edit and delete addresses, but you must do it through the parent contact.

To edit or delete a contact address, use the following endpoints:

  • PATCH /contact/v1/contacts/{contactId}/addresses/{addressId}
  • DELETE /contact/v1/contacts/{contactId}/addresses/{addressId}
