Set up E2E testing for internal use
TestCafe opens a browser and runs tests on a working web application. It clicks buttons and fills in boxes the same way as a user would do.
Setting up a GT: UI project
From Guidewire Community
Navigate to the Guidewire Community site and download the latest Guidewire Testing Framework from the 'Product Releases' page, as outlined in the latest version of the Guidewire Testing Framework Installation guide.
Continue following the guide to configure your IDE appropriately and install GT: UI.
From Artifactory
If you do not have access to Guidewire Community, you can download GT: UI from Artifactory here.
If the link does not work, try logging onto Artifactory before clicking the link.
Migrating tests
Move everything under your app's ./tests subdirectory to your GT: UI project. This includes all E2E tests, helpers, and util code.
GT: UI is based on TestCafe, so the contents of your former ./tests folder should work as expected after being moved. Note that you may need to update some internally referenced relative paths and other elements of that nature. If your app has any testing-specific NPM dependencies, you should remove them from your Jutro app and add them to your GT: UI project. Ensure that all third-party components that are required or supported by GT: UI are the correct version, according to the support matrix (search for the latest version on docs.guidewire.com).
If you are having issues with installation, migration, or require any testing support going forward, contact the GT: UI team on their Slack channel: #ask-gt-frameworks-dev
